Best feedback so far…

Played the show at bishop museum and had a blast. The exhibit was nice too. Saw a nice photograph of a single boat on a calm ocean. Telling. Received a nice comment from someone after our set, “You guys sounded good. You guys are ‘Active.’” I took the comment to mean that we were actively engaged in the output we were producing. Mindfulness, attention, being present. Thank you for the compliment. Tons of weird dreams lately. Maybe I’m trying to do too much. I read about an experiment that concluded that dreams are mental preparation for life’s obstacles and threats.

I finally figured it out…

Exactly 31 days after we returned from our tour in Japan and I’ve figured out how to describe the experience — Liberating. Jack made an interesting observation while we were in Japan which seemed nihilistic at the time. It’s interesting that the countries that have experienced the most tragedy are the ones who are most willing to party the hardest — the ones who are most willing to live in the moment. I’m paraphrasing. Japan was liberating. Yeah, that’s exactly it.
