LINUS!

Today Jack, Jun and I applied the final coats of paint at the studio. Mini pow wow yielded some good ideas. Still looking for a couch, mini fridge, and some folding chairs. Got extra furniture, email me. Working on the HARA promotional material tonight. CD sales are phenomenal. Seems like our fans have been eagerly waiting for this new CD to drop. Ran into Justin at HH as we were leaving today. Energy running high. Can’t wait till the PA system arrives.

Quite a day so far. Spend the morning and afternoon constructed sound panels for the studio. Click on the pic for a closer look. They came out really nice! Next up, a quick bite before rocking the house at Red Lion (University) @ 10 pm. We are going to play 8 songs or so. And perhaps most importantly, we are finally selling our brand new album, “White Marks on a White Wall”! So come down, listen to the jams, then buy the record and keep rocking in your car, home, sleep. Not to be missed!

This new studio is really costing a lot and causing us to invest more and more time into making it as productive, stylish, and acoustically sound as possible. We’re trading emails in a frenzy. Planning a pow wow once things settle down. Hold on, they won’t. Need to find time to practice, do some light carpentry, and have the carpets cleaned. Planning to make dust jackets for my vintage gear. Working on the WMWW flash player now. I like this pace.

This is how sound panels are born...

After Dave dropped off the precious cargo (see previous post), I headed out with my brother to purchase/pickup a box of raw material. 4 feet x 2 feet x 2 inches times 12 = the first phase of sound treating the Linus HQ. Going to take some work, but the room should be rock ready in about a 2 weeks. Stay tuned for more photos.
